ROLE

As Accounting Assistant the candidate will have to support the Accounting Department in basic bookkeping and accounting tasks. The role will include activities such as reconciling bank records, drafting financial documents, invoicing customers or collecting payments, calculating the actual products costs and comparing it with the budget cost performing thus a variance analysis. In addition, the candidate can expect to assist the Accounting Manager with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports. To be a successful Accounting Assistant, the candidate needs to have an understanding of basic Accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing support to the Accounting Department
  • Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail
  • Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person
  • Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets
  • Registering production orders in the ERP system and calculating production costs
  • Preparing financial reports
