THE ADVANTAGES OF INERT MATERIAL PUMPING COMBINED WITH EXCAVATOR FLEXIBILITY
| |
Our dredgers are designed to work at given water depths to excavate basins such as lakes, ports or quarries. The purchase of a dredger and related accessory equipment can be justified in terms of amortisation when significant quantities of material are to be excavated. However, it is often the case that work needs to be carried out in small canals where only several thousand cubic metres of material need to be removed.
Our hydro-excavating dredging bucket, designed with just such cases in mind, boasts the following characteristics:
- The dredging bucket has been designed to be fitted onto any type of hydraulic land excavator and, as it uses the power supply of the same, it can be operated to work in small canals from on land positions.
- Given its limited physical size and its relatively low cost, it is ideal, in terms of work-to-cost benefit ratios, for excavating small quantities of material.
A further advantage of our hydro-excavator unit is the fact that once installed on an excavator the latter can in turn be fitted onto a floating lighter barge in order to carry out small scale excavation work such as trench digging or man-made basin bed cleaning, where the quantities of material to be removed are effectively quite small. In addition, void of pipeline, it can be used as a thruster hydro-jet for the lighter barge. |

| The quick-locking hooks used to assemble the dredging bucket components mean that it is possible to rapidly modify the tool for different purposes. A number of tried and tested functions are shown although others can be developed on the basis of your specific requirements. BASE FRAME
This consists of a steel beam frame supporting the unit and connecting it to the excavator arm. The linking section features a sequential automatic hydraulically controlled rotating device that, if necessary, can counter-rotate the tool according to the movements of the wheel of the excavator. The supporting frame houses a water-scooping pump controlled by a hydraulic engine as well as all the attachment, control and functioning devices. |
THRUSTING HYDRO-JET Already at this point it is possible to use the unit as an excavator pontoon thruster by means of an added pump delivery device. While working in reclamation areas it is sometimes difficult to propeller-manoeuvre craft as rotating propellers risk getting caught up in reeds or roots and thus the hydro-jet provides a simple solution for covering small distances. |

DREDGING BUCKET When fitted with a cutting head the unit can be used as an actual dredger able to work in restricted spaces, or in areas that can only be accessed with difficulty, and can be used to excavate underwater trenches and remove inert material at excavator working field depths. In designing the cutting head we combined our extensive dredging sector experience with the very best in terms of functionality and manufacturing simplicity. An epicycloid ratio motor has been added to the hydraulic unit control in order to guarantee maximum torque even at low rpm. The toothed cutting head, although small in size, has a notable disgregating capacity. Its functioning, with compensated oil bath engine support and forced washing cutting head support, represents the typical configuration of the most advanced construction techniques. |

| WATER-JET DISGREGATORS It is possible to use the unit together with a wide range of models of pressurized water-jet disgregators. The chart shows the different high pressure and agitator types.

| HYDRO-CULTIVATOR
With the addition of a wide working range nozzled rake the unit can also be used in the hydro-culture field in sectors such as sea farming, marine area biological protection and repopulating reclamation or marine areas given over to park land. |
