UNIT POSITIONING
The transverse thruster unit, which can be installed in any type of
hull, is fitted onto the vessel within a special bow head tunnel. |
|
INSTALLATION
Installation and maintenance of the transverse thruster should
take place while the vessel is in dry dock.
Ordinary maintenance operations can be carried out from inside
the vessel by extracting the unit as shown in the diagram.
LUBRICATION
The unit features a lubrication system with a compensation tank (shown in the diagram) and water-tight seals. The oil bath guarantees perfect gear functioning and efficiency even after long periods of inactivity. |
TRANSMISSION
The unit is supplied with a hydraulic gearbox (either electric or diesel) with a proportional electro-hydraulic variable capacity pump. The control panel features all commands and controls, with radio controls available as an optional feature. |
